Background:

Prio to joining I Count Beans Margie had 10 years of experience in accounting and finance with a particular specialty in financial statement analysis and accounting policies and procedures implementation.

Margie was initially part of the bookkeeping team for 2 years with I Count Beans and then moved across to the tax division and has been a valued member of the tax team for more than 3 years now. 

Industry experience includes car dealerships, construction, hospitality, wholesale, retail, and manufacturing. 

Margie is passionate about helping simplify the taxation process for our business clients. She prides herself on providing quick responses to client questions and ensuring clients understand their tax position.

Margie loves to assist co-staff members in the bookkeeping division by providing training and updates to our team on tax legislation changes.

Margie loves to learn new things through continued professional development to be able to provide up to date advice for our clients.

Special interest includes, reading or watching vlogs concerning business, finance, lifestyle, watching meaningful movies, and hanging out with family and friends.

Background:

Jannette has 20 years professional experience in various areas of accounting and finance.

Jannette has extensive experience in financial statements analysis and bookkeeping, such as invoicing, bank reconciliation, cash flow, cash projection, budgeting, monitoring accounts payable and receivables and payroll. Jannette is experienced in posting and managing physical payment of bills for clients using Commbiz fantastic online business portal. 

Jannette also has experience with complex payroll for larger Electrical Contractor clients who have between 50 – 100 employees. Also experience in managing payroll for Electrical Contractors under EBA Contracts. Managing Redundancy Trust Payments, Superannuation Payments, and complex payroll situations for larger clients. 

Jannette also is skilled in preparing and filing various Activity Statement Lodgements to the ATO.

Jannette manages client accounts in various industries such as automotive, services, Gas, Financing, Real Estate, Construction, Electrical Contractors, Solar, Transportation and Logistics, Hospitality, Insurance and Pharmaceutical. 

On a personal level Jannette loves travelling with family and enjoys staying at home watching movies or documentaries.

Background:

Mari has 14 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping with a particular speciality in accounting standards and bookkeeping processes.

Mari joined I Count Beans in 2015 where she joined as a team member in the accounting/ bookkeeping division. In her position, she reconciles all outgoing and incoming transactions, processes weekly wages, processes quarterly superannuation and lodging of monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements to the ATO. 

Mari also helps clients with the reporting of Workers Compensation and assists with the reporting of EOY PAYG Payment Summaries, now replaced by STP Payroll Finalisation.

Mari is passionate about contributing to ICB’s Bookkeeping Division, she prepares financial reports for business owners internal management purposes and has regular contact with clients to help them with their accounting concerns.

Special interest includes cooking and baking and organising social events.

Michael has 10 years of experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping with a particular speciality in business systems and bookkeeping processes. 

Michael oversees the Bookkeeping Division of I Count Beans and has regular contact with clients and staff. 

Industry experience includes Construction, Hospitality, Education, Accommodation, Property, Medical Services, Manufacturing, E-Commerce, and International Business. 

Michael is passionate about helping business owners reach their goals and helping them understand and value the accounting process. 

Michael is a Gold Coast local based in Broadbeach. Michael went to High School at All Saints Anglican School and then studied at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. 

Special interest includes, Surfing, Fishing, and all things outdoors! Loves meeting clients in person and developing long lasting relationships.

Background:

Tony has been in Business Taxation for 15 years on the Gold Coast and In Adelaide. 

Tony oversees the Taxation and Advisory Division of I Count Beans and has regular contact with clients and staff. 

Tony has specialty experience in accounting and taxation for Electrical Contractors such as Solar Companies, as Tony had worked as the Financial Controller for SAE Group Pty Ltd prior to I Count Beans. Also, advising clients on QBCC requirements, Payroll Tax, Tax Minimisation and Company or Trust Structure set ups. 

Tony has been a Volunteer Lifesaver with Surf Life Savings Australia for 25 years. Tony has also helped as a volunteer Treasurer for the Southport Surf Life Saving Club on the Gold Coast.
